Fierté Canada Pride Announces their Preferred Resources Partnership with tiptap
FEBRUARY 13 2023 | VANCOUVER, BC - Fierté Canada Pride (FCP) today announced a Preferred Resources Partnership with tiptap that will offer exclusive partnership pricing of tiptap’s device rental services, and made it available for FCP member organizations.
“With the launch of our new website, one of our targets for 2023 is to compile and produce an FCP member-exclusive database highlighting queer-owned and queer- and ally-operated Canadian companies.” says Chris Kennedy, Board Communications Director for FCP. “We learned about tiptap while attending InterPride’s AGM & Conference in Guadalajara, Mexico, last year, and we’ve been working with Andrew [Brousse] on this partnership ever since.”
Through this partnership, FCP-member Pride organizations will have preferred access and pricing to tiptap’s tap to giveTM technology, allowing them greater flexibility and opportunity in collecting donations from Pride event attendees and participants.
“With less and less people carrying cash at festivals and events, it is becoming increasingly more difficult for organizations to collect impulse donations that are critical to their overall fundraising strategies.” said Andrew Brousse, North American Account Manager and Sector Solution Lead with tiptap. “This partnership will help FCP member organizations raise more money by allowing festival-goers to donate with a simple tap, using anything in their wallet or mobile wallet . Because each tiptap is completely standalone, organizers have the versatility of bringing the devices anywhere including parade routes.”
Tiptap made its pride festival debut in the summer of 2022 at Toronto Pride, and supported over 7 festivals and over 25 beneficiary organizations over the summer. The average device generated 4x ROI which tiptap believes will increase this year as people become more comfortable with tap to giveTM. In Canada, over 90% of adults carry a tap enabled card in their wallet, and over 80% of people surveyed prefer using tap to pay over any other payment method.
“With the addition of tiptap to our Member’s Resources Database, FCP is meeting our mission values of offering support for all Pride organizations across Canada.” says Alessandro Iachelli, Executive Director of FCP. “This year’s FCP AGM and Conference theme is ‘Amplifying Rural & Remote Voices’ and one of the several components that attracted us to tiptap is that their platform is scalable regardless of a Pride’s festival size and budget allowance.”
This year, tiptap is already in conversations with over 35 pride festivals in Canada and the US, with many more still lined up. By supporting pride festivals, tiptap is committed to supporting a diverse and inclusive world for everyone, and through our technology helping ensure the festivals continue to support communities throughout North America.
FCP Member organizations will have the opportunity to learn more about tiptap and this Preferred Resources Partnership at the upcoming 2023 National Conference & AGM, held March 9-12 2023 in Kelowna, BC; as well as through an Orientation and Welcome Webinar scheduled for 10am Pacific / 12pm Central / 1pm Eastern on Saturday March 18 2023.
