FCP presents… QUINN

QUINN is an intimate documentary of gender identity, over four years and four seasons. Director Eva Colmers has known Quinn ever since they were a little child, and Eva and Quinn share a passion for art. When Quinn decided to transition, they invited the filmmaker to follow the journey.

Beautifully shot against the backdrop of nature, interspersed with Quinn’s art and incorporating footage of young Quinn, the documentary provides a rich sense of the ups and downs in Quinn’s life over 4 seasons and 4 years as they navigate their gender. This personal yet surprisingly universal story of change is invigorated by the music of celebrated non-binary musician Rae Spoon.

Join Quinn Lumsden themself, their partner and spouse Skylar Todd, and other experts to discuss some of the themes explored in the film, such as the best ways their family supported them, resources available to families with trans loved ones, and shifting the narrative to how cool it is to be trans, how amazing it is to explore gender, and the importance of being true to yourself.
