Charlie Dazé
Charlie (they/them/iel) is a transmasculine & non-binary advocate, writer, and community organizer with several years under their belt in the non-profit sector. They’ve worked for multiple queer and trans-led orgs throughout Ontario and Newfoundland in project coordination and program facilitation. Charlie is passionate about community engagement, access to affirming healthcare, and supporting the wellbeing of trans & gender diverse youth.
In their spare time Charlie loves to play video games, read sci-fi/fantasy novels, have outdoor adventures and gush about their cat Dragon to all who will listen.
With gratitude, Charlie resides on the unceded traditional territory of the Algonquin Anishinaabe people. They’ve also had the privilege to live on the island of Ktaqmkuk, which is the unceded traditional territory of the Beothuk, whose culture is lost to us forever, and the Mi'kmaq. With respect, they continue their learning to be a responsible steward of the land.
Charlie (iel) est un défenseur des droits trans et non binaires, un écrivain et un organisateur communautaire avec plusieurs années à son actif dans le secteur à but non lucratif. Iel a travaillé pour plusieurs organisations dirigées par des personnes queer et trans en Ontario et à Terre-Neuve dans la coordination de projets et la facilitation de programmes. Charlie est passionné par l'engagement communautaire, l'accès à des soins de santé valorisés et le soutien au bien-être des jeunes trans et de genre divers.
Pendant son temps libre, Charlie adore jouer à des jeux vidéo, lire des romans de science-fiction/fantastique, vivre des aventures en plein air et parler de son chat Dragon à tous celleux qui veulent bien l'écouter.
Avec gratitude, Charlie réside sur le territoire traditionnel non cédé du peuple algonquin Anishinaabe. Iel a également eu le privilège de vivre sur l'île de Ktaqmkuk, qui est le territoire traditionnel non cédé des Béothuks, dont la culture est perdue à jamais, et des Mi'kmaq. Avec respect, iel poursuit son apprentissage pour devenir un intendant responsable de la terre.
